Celebrations

This past Friday, the kids had a Christmas program at school. They performed songs and traditional dances for neighbors, friends, teachers, and government workers. Quite a few people came, and the kids were so excited!

The school grounds were decorated beautifully.

After the performance, lunch was offered. Yes, that is an animal on the spit. A cow to be exact. It roasted for a couple of days. (And you know me well if you know that I did not eat it:)

Vista's kids perform the coconut dance.

Kids from Prek Eng 1 perform a traditional dance.

Girls from Prek Eng 2 perform the traditional Apsara dance.

I could not do this if I tried:)

Aren't they cute? They danced and sang upbeat song.

Below are some snippets of the various traditional dances. I love that these children are learning this at the orphanages.

Thanks for sharing these pictures and videos Jen. I have shared with some of my children at school. Traditions are important. God bless.

Love you,
Momma-Jo
