Woo-hoo...my friends have arrived! Mary Kate and Cindy came yesterday, and at the moment, we are sitting at a cafe enjoying great food and great company. Thanks for your prayers. They arrived safe and sound without any issues with the flights. (except for the meat roll. Cindy thought it was going to be filled with chocolate. What a shocker!)

Here are a couple of their first impressions...

MK says that it's beautiful and toasty and loud. She says that I wasn't exaggerating about how hot it is here.

But the best thing about Cambodia is me. (Isn't she so sweet?!)

Cindy thought it would be scarier. It's not very scary. Thought it would be more urban jungle, but there are some parks and trees. And it's not as loud as she thought it would be.

She thinks that I fit here. (I don't know if she means that I am not as scary or that I am not as loud.)

It's incredibly surreal to be sitting here with friends from the states in this place that I have come to know as home. It's fun to see their reactions to what is "normal" to me. And I am excited to to be able to share it all with them.

Please pray for our time together and for their adjustments to this time zone, heat, and culture. We get to go see our kids this afternoon. Yippee!

Oh my goodness! I'm so jealous you get to see the kids today! Have so much fun with them...you will love them the minute you lay eyes on them! Give an extra round of hugs for me...and from the other 2 girls of course! I now feel like I didn't get enough hugs in while I was there! Love you all...and hope you have the best time ever!
