I am sitting at the Bangkok airport for a long layover on my way to Cambodia, and I have about 6 minutes left on the internet. So, one more quick story. Early one morning this week, one of the little orphan girls was taken to the hospital with stomach pain. It turns out that her appendix had burst. Surgery was done, and she is home healing after being in the hospital for several days. She continues to have to go to the hospital to get the incision checked as the infection continues to drain.
I have mentioned before how remote the Hill Tribe villages are. Often, they are hours from a "road" and have to walk to try to catch a ride into the city - which is often several hours by car. Had this little girl not been at the orphanage, she would surely have died. I continue to be amazed by how God works things out as this beautiful girl is still with us. She is one of the sweetest kids there. Even in all her pain when we picked her up from the hospital, she was still using her Thai manners in her greetings to us.
Thank you for your continued prayers and words of encouragement as I am blessed to be serving these precious children!

Wow - I am encouraged. I recently had surgery because of an ankle injury, and I came home from the hospital with anything but manners. I was cranky and needy, and to think that this sweet little girl was pleasant and polite - how inspiring. God continues to work through the lives of children to give me perspective.

Wow, how we take for granted all that we have here in the US. I am so thankful for the work God is doing in and for these children. You are such a blessing Jen! Luv you, Crissy
