I am traveling with Ashley, who just graduated from high school and is volunteering at the orphanage in Thailand for 10 months. Dave, the director of Asia's Hope is traveling with us as well, but because of a ticket snafu is not on our same flight.
One of the benefits of having been here before is knowing some travel "secrets"...like where the outlets are in the international terminal in LA and how to find the Subway in the Taipei airport. It didn't matter that it was 6:00am...I enjoyed a delicious breakfast of a turkey sub and Coke. (I thought it would be better to show you a photo of my breakfast rather than what I look like after being up for 36 hours and flying for a total 19:)
Ashley and I should arrive in Thailand at 1:00pm Saturday (2:00am Sat in Ohio - it will be an 11 hour difference). Please pray for an uneventful flight and our continued health after our long travel time. We are staying at one of the orphanages in Thailand, so I should be able to upload some pictures of the kids tonight!
If you want to know more about Vista's orphanage in Cambodia, I have made links on the left-hand side of the blog that will take you to pictures and information. Our kids are beautiful, and I can't wait to see them again!
