Day One with the Vista Team

Woo-hoo! The team from Vista (plus one new friend from Texas who is a wonderful addition to the team:) made it here safely from the states this morning. I gotta say, they all looked pretty good getting off the plane after two days of travel! We got settled into the hotel, got some lunch, and got oriented to the city a little bit before heading out to see our kids at the Vista orphanage.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again...I love seeing people fall in love with our kids. There really is nothing like stepping out of the van and being immediately mobbed by 17 sweet children full of joy and love. One of the team members said it right tonight...there just aren't words to describe it. It's something you have to come and experience!

I had to try to get a shot of the shorts. All the little boys and girls were wearing them. Check out the Superman logo on them! Pisey made them herself. Absolutely love it!

The night ended with a game of Simon Says.

After dinner, the team was definitely ready for sleep. Actually, I think they were ready during dinner! Tomorrow we will start off at the school with all four orphanages together. There is sure to be lots of dancing and singing and fun!

Please continue to pray for adjustment to the time zone, health, and travel safety. Pray also that we will know how best to love and serve the children, staff, and people of Cambodia. I'll try to keep the pics coming!
