I am crazily busy trying to get details taken care of here before the Vista missions team arrives this Friday (wow!) and I leave for the states next week (even bigger wow!). So, all I have in me right now are random, stream-of-consciousness thoughts. Here they are...
• I saw that it's around 90 degrees back in Ohio. But I am wondering if that's going to feel chilly to me.
• Rainy season adds a whole new dimension to riding a bike. Sometimes I try to out-ride the rain. Sometimes I don't make it.
• The other day after reading Facebook posts about the weather in Ohio, I tried to explain to friends from Australia, Finland, and England what happens during a tornado warning. It struck me as funny that they had no concept for it.
• I love that I now know people from Korea, Finland, England, Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Switzerland, and of course, Cambodia. And, by the way, I am not good at distinguishing accents from European or Western nations.
• I look forward to eating a turkey sandwich.
• I also look forward to seeing all of my family in a couple of weeks. (Maybe I should have put this before the turkey sandwich.) All the Morgan siblings and their families will be in the same place for the first time in I'm not sure how long. I just hope I am over jet lag in time to enjoy it!
• Everyone, that is, except my brother-in-law, Jim, who is serving his country in the army. Please keep him in your prayers.
• I have the best church in the states! Thanks Vista for preparing for my return. I could not do this without you!
• I spent time this week with a ministry that is serving in an area that's at the heart of the child sex trade. What I saw...and what I now know...would break your heart. It made me weep.
• Not sure where this will lead, but it's left it's mark on my soul.
• My mind cannot understand the depravity and evil that exists.
• After that time, I am ever more thankful for our orphanages and the safety of our children. I pray that even more will be saved.
Please continue to pray for this country, it's people, and the workers here who have left everything to come and serve. Thanks also for your continued prayers for me as I continue to try to follow the path that was meant for me here, wherever it leads.
