All the kids of Prek Eng 4. This orphanage is just two houses down from Vista's orphanage, so I hang out there often as well. It hasn't been around as long, so they know a little less English. In fact, I still get called 'daddy' there. Now, though, I know more Khmer and tried to explain to them that I am big sister. I think we had success this time.
It was pretty funny...I was explaining to the kids in Khmer what we were going to do. And the director who knows English and is used to translating for me kept repeating what I was saying only using a few more words:)
Most of the kids from Vista's orphanage. I love their pose...it's a little less staged than they usually do.
Four of the kids came with us to the airport to pick up visitors from the states, including Adam and Jess Heath whom many of you know! The only Dairy Queen in the city is at the airport, and I got to treat the kids to ice cream. It warmed my heart for a couple of reasons...one, that I got to bless them so simply yet make them so happy. But two, because it reminded me of the times when I have gotten to treat my own nieces and nephews. (I miss them, but will get to see all 9 of them in less than a month. Can't wait!)
Before I left, the kids gave me an impromtu concert. Here's a little of "Jesus Loves the Little Children." He certainly does!

I've been following your blog for so long now that I can actually see the kids changing. I imagine you have witnessed so many changes both physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally - but even me, who has never met any of them, can see many of their physical changes. So neat.
And "Jesus Loves Me" - oh my, precious beyond words. Thanks for making my day.
I agree with Ali I too can see the changes in the kids. In their sweet little faces, and can hear it in how their english skills have improved. What a blessing you are to them! Thanks for giving of yourself!
